My Mission
I am a problem solver. To me, it is a problem when brain or body differences impact a person's ability to authentically express themselves. When implemented strategically and with fidelity, I genuinely believe that AAC is life changing. As humans, we must share information, make decisions, establish boundaries, and advocate for our needs. We must learn language to do those things effectively. It's not suitable to rely on another person to speak for us all the time. We need to be able to do more than request food or ask for things we like. We are entitled to language because it's what makes us human.
People of all ages, identities, and abilities have the right to communicate freely and authentically. EVERYONE is capable of learning to understand and use language. If there is a child in your life whose full potential is hindered by complex communication needs, my mission is to listen, learn, educate, and grow with you. Through a blend of clinical expertise and coaching, I aim to educate families, encourage independence, and dismantle systemic barriers to self-determined communication for everyone I can. While keeping current with emerging technologies and best practices, I strive to inspire others to make communication inclusive for all. I believe that language is individualized and unique, not trained or obeyed. Language emerges as a way to tell the world about our lived experiences.
